IDA Appoints PDP Training Center as the First RTC

The International Detailing Association (IDA) would like to congratulate Professional Detailing Products (PDP) for becoming the first IDA Recognized Training Center (RTC).

PDP is located in Canton, Ohio in a 20,000-square foot facility that houses manufacturing, office, warehouse and a unique 3,000 square foot showroom. In 2016 a 4,000 square feet State-of-the-Art National Detailing Training Center was added, housing a 50-person classroom with a 106" HD screen, and two training bays fully equipped with all the latest innovations of the detailing industry. With state-of-the-art lighting and virtually every tool on the market at each student's disposal, it is the perfect environment for students of the art and science of detailing to take their skills to the next level. Whether just starting out, or mastering the intricacies of buffing and edgework, PDP offers full detail classes, specialized classes, and of course IDA Seminars. Students can delve deeply into the process, procedure and application of products, systems, chemicals, and tools. The classroom sits right next to training bays, combining the perfect mix of acquiring product and procedural knowledge with hands on training on various types of vehicles.

About the IDA Recognized Training Center Program
There are many qualifications a facility needs to meet, along with a rigorous vetting process to be awarded the prestigious title of RTC.

The purpose of the RTC program is to provide IDA members with a high-quality, equipped training center to assist members in their detailing education. This is another perk the IDA provides to its members to develop competence and confidence in their detailing skills and knowledge.

The RTC program is a new program developed by IDA to certify established training centers. To qualify for the program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Owner must be an active member of the IDA.
  • Operate an established facility housing at least one training bay and classroom (please note, if operating multiple facilities, each individual facility must qualify).
  • Head trainer must have their CD-SV, RT.
  • Assistant trainers must have their CD-SV.
  • Offer regular curriculum.
  • Are open to the public.
  • Can host at least two IDA CD or SV events per year.
